I made this project to represent feeling like you always have to put on a “mask” to make others like you or to make yourself less visible to anyone so you don't get bullied or called weird. It relates to me a lot because I feel, with a lot of different people, I have to change into different “Masks” to talk to them or they would make fun of me or just not like me and it always gets exhausting. This painting is supposed to convey getting tired and getting sucked into the mask feeling like its you when you know on the inside its not.

Kids are always staring at corners and ceilings and when you ask “Hey bud what ya looking at?” they almost always respond with something creepy. So maybe they aren't just trying to scare us? what if there actually is something there looking at us but only they can see it?

"Not everything is visible" 2023 Acrilic 12'16 |
“Not everything is visible” is a painting that represents the hidden issues everyone has on the inside or out. The reason I created this painting was because I hear everyday someone telling another person that they can't see anything wrong with them, so they should be fine and they can “walk it off” or simply just “deal with it”. So i want to make it clear just because you cant see it, that doesnt mean it doesnt exist. It also represents a lot of people are just downright rude about people needing help they say a lot of unnecessary things and just straight up assume if theres something wrong with you, your either sick or crazy and need sent to a place to help you.
